Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Cape Town

Arrive in Cape Town, a cosmopolitan city perched between majestic coastline and the slopes of flat-topped Table Mountain on the southwestern tip of South Africa. Settle into your hotel in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, and then take a stroll through this vibrant working port and shopping district.

Day 2 – Touring Cape Town & Table Mountain

Begin the day with a journey up to the summit of Table Mountain, which rises 3558 feet above sea level and offers fantastic views over Cape Town and Table Bay. With the mountain at its center, the park is a wonderland of flora and hiking trails. Later in the morning, take a drive through the city center, stopping to explore the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, the District Six Museum, the Castle of Good Hope, or the SA Museum.

Day 3 – Cape Town to Cape Point

Travel out of Cape Town through the coastal suburbs, passing through Camps Bay and the fishing village of Hout Bay. Continue on the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and a funicular ride to Cape Point—the reserve is a sanctuary for some of the region’s distinctive wildlife. Visit the penguin colony of Boulders Beach before heading back through Kalk Bay and Muizenberg.

Day 4 – The Winelands

Take off on a private, full-day tour of the Cape’s dynamic Winelands. Walk the historical tree-lined streets of the university town of Stellenbosch; learn about the Afrikaans heritage of Paarl; and explore the picturesque Franschhoek Valley. Discover the region’s Cape Dutch architecture along with wine tastings on some of the finest Cape Wine estates, and then return to Cape Town for the evening.

Day 5 – Fly to Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

Take a morning flight to Skukuza Airport, where you will be met and transferred to Dulini Lodge in Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, where you will spend the next three nights. The Dulini Lodge is set in a riverside grove of ebony trees, and each suite boasts its own plunge pool and shaded decks looking over the Mabrak River. Enjoy incredible wildlife viewing, guided safari tours and bush walks, and dining under the stars.

Days 6-7 – Sabi Sands Safari Tours

Adjacent to Kruger National Park, Sabi Sands is a premier game viewing destination that features 65,000 hectares of savannah, dry riverbeds, lowveld woodlands, and the Sabi and Sand rivers. Home to the Big Five as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, and a variety of antelope, you will enjoy game drives in the morning and afternoon in specially adapted safari vehicles, as well as guided bush walks.

Day 8 – Explore Johannesburg

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg, one of Africa’s largest and most vibrant cities. Spend today exploring the multicultural mix of shops and restaurants in the old city, where you can also visit excellent museums and art galleries. Dive deeper into South Africa’s history on a visit to the Apartheid Museum, or a guided tour of the nearby Soweto township.

Days 9-13 – Relax in the Seychelles
