Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Cape Town

Arrive in Cape Town where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city, alongside the bustling V&A Waterfront. Settle in and enjoy an evening stroll along the waterfront or a luxurious spa treatment at the hotel.

Day 2 – City Center & Mountain Views

Today you will explore Cape Town’s unique setting—spread out along spectacular coastline at the foot of the iconic Table Mountain—on a full-day excursion beginning with a trip up the 3558-foot flat-topped mountain. Enjoy panoramic views over the city and coastline, and then drive through the city center, including the colorful Bo-Kaap area. Visit the District Six Museum and then tour the Castle of Good Hope and Robben Island.

Day 3 – Cape Town Coastal Tour

After breakfast this morning, head out of the city by way of the coastal suburbs of Bantry Bay, Camps Bay, and Hout Bay, which is a rustic fishing village. Travel along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive out to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve for a funicular ride to Cape Point. Next up is a stop to see the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach for a walk or swim. Return to Cape Town through Kalk Bay and Muizenberg in the late afternoon.

Day 4 – The Winelands

Today, tour the Winelands region with your private guide, exploring the tree-lined streets of the university town of Stellenbosch, the picturesque Franschhoek Valley, and several of the finest Cape wine estates. Enjoy wine tastings and a cellar tour, shop at boutique markets, and learn about the well-preserved Cape Dutch architecture of Franschhoek. Travel back to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

Days 7-8 – The Linyanti Concessions

Drive across the border into Botswana to the Kasane Airport for your flight to Kings Pool, a luxury camp that offers incredible dry season game viewing along the Kwando-Linyanti river system. Located just across the river from Namibia, Kings Pool is part of a network of private game reserves and national parkland which hosts large herds of impala, blue wildebeest, and the world’s highest density of elephants. Enjoy morning and night game drives, as well as unique vantage points to view wildlife from sunken hides near watering holes.

Days 9-10 – Okavango Delta Excursions

This watery oasis is home to countless animals, and over the next two days you will enjoy game viewing, fishing, bird watching, and a guided Mokoro excursion—a water safari in a traditional dugout canoe. The Vumbura Plains camp offers exquisite comforts to complement your access to this extraordinary ecosystem.

Days 11-12 – Explore the Kalahari Desert

Take a flight to your next destination, Jack’s Camp, which lies in the heart of Botswana’s Kalahari Desert. There are plenty of other activities too, like quad biking on the salt pans in the dry season and watching the zebra and wildebeest migration in the wet season.
