Trip Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive in Montréal
Fly into Montréal and settle into your hotel located in the heart of the Old City. Start exploring this truly multicultural city, with its quirky neighborhoods, incredible parks, and stellar food culture.
Day 2 – Tastes of Montréal
Discover the best of Montréal’s food scene on a 3-hour, small group gastronomic tour of the historical Mile End neighborhood. Learn about Quebec’s culinary history and sample food and drinks at an array restaurants like La Panthère Verte, St-Viateur Bagel, Boucherie Lawrence, and the Cardinal Tea Room.
Day 3 – Train Ride to Québec City
Take a morning train from Montréal’s Central Station to Quebec, arriving in the early afternoon. Transfer to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day exploring the winding, cobbled streets and airy plazas of the Old City. Stroll along the clifftop promenade above the St. Lawrence River and take in views of the Chateau Frontenac.
Day 4 – Québec City Walking Tour
Today, enjoy a private, half-day walking tour exploring the charms of Old Québec. Discover 400 years of Québec’s history while visiting sites such as the Québec Citadel, Quebec fortifications, the Basilica Notre-Dame, and the Old Port. After your tour, visit the Place Royale, a small plaza considered by Québécois to be the spiritual heart of French America.
Day 5 – Scenic Drive to Charlevoix
Pick up your rental car this morning in Québec City, and make the 2-hour scenic drive northeast to Charlevoix, and settle into the spectacular, cliff-top Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. Ideally located between forest, mountains, and the village of La Malbaie, this luxurious hotel is the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, or skiing in the winter.
Day 6 – Explore the Outdoors in Charlevoix
Today is yours to discover Quebec’s stunning natural beauty. Climb aboard the rail shuttle to explore the picturesque towns that dot the riverbanks or from May to October, head out on the waters of the St. Lawrence to go whale watching.
Day 7 – Departure
Spend a leisurely morning at the hotel, before returning to Québec City to catch your flight home.
