Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Casablanca

Arrive at Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca, where you will be met for private transport to your centrally located hotel. Rest and refresh at your hotel, and then visit the immense Mosque Hassan II on the Atlantic coast to begin your guided tour of the city. Visit the French-built Quartier Habous, the holy shrine of Sidi Abderrahman, and the colonial architecture of Place Mohammed V.

 

Day 2 – Travel to Chefchaouen

After breakfast at your hotel, travel north to the blue city of Chefchaouen, which is about a 5-hour drive depending on the stops you choose to make along the way. Check into your hotel, a traditional riad with an interior courtyard, and spend the remainder of the day exploring the city.

 

Day 3 – Explore Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen is a small, laid-back mountain retreat set in the picturesque Rif Mountains, with plenty of hidden corners to explore. Wander through the narrow, winding lanes of the blue-painted buildings of the ancient medina, shop at traditional leather workshops, and experience the area’s natural beauty on a hike to the Akchour waterfalls outside of the city.

 

Day 4 – Travel to Fes

Spend a leisurely day en route to Fes, stopping to enjoy sights along the way. Check into your traditional riad hotel in the medina, and set off to explore this sensational city with your expert guide. Start with a stroll through Fes’ el-Bali quarter, which is the largest urban pedestrian area in the world and is brimming with cultural sites and colorful market stalls.

 

Day 5 – Private Tour of Fes

Discover the wonders of Fes on full-day tour with your private guide, a city revered by scholars and artists alike for its fascinating architecture and history. Highlights of the day include visiting the Bou Inania Medersa Koranic University, the shrine of Moulay Idriss II, craft workshops and countless souks, and the city’s famous leather tanneries.

 

Day 6 – Get to Know Marrakech

Head to the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, a city steeped in the history of the Berber Empire and dotted with Moorish architecture. Check into your hotel in the heart of the ancient medina, and then start exploring with your private guide. In the early evening, make your way to the World Heritage-listed Djemaa el Fna plaza as it comes to life with street performers, snake charmers, and food vendors.

 

Day 7 – Visit the High Atlas Mountains

Leave the bustle of Marrakech behind on a full-day excursion to the High Atlas Mountains, about an hour south of the city. Begin the day with a visit to a local souk in a tranquil Berber village, where flat-topped, earthen homes nestle into fertile slopes. Enjoy a traditional lunch and visit several other villages before returning to Marrakech in the late afternoon.

 

Day 8 – Sites & Souks of Marrakech

Discover why Marrakech is considered one of the world’s most dynamic cities as you delve into its history, architecture, and prismatic outdoor markets with your private guide. Begin your tour in the Majorelle Gardens and a visit to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, dedicated to the French designer’s work. Explore colorful souks filled with handcrafted goods, spices, carpets, and jewelry, and in the late afternoon, head to Desert d’Agafay for a camelback trek to a traditional Berber dinner.

 

Day 9 – Departure

Transfer to Casablanca’s Mohamed V Airport, for your international flight home.
