Discovering Italy

Day 1: Arrive in Rome

Arrive in Rome on your overnight flight. A private transfer will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodations. The remainder of your day is at your leisure.

Day 2: Rome

Private, three hour tour of Ancient Rome: Discover the ruins of the Roman Forum, the imposing Colosseum, and the Palatine Hill.

Day 3: Rome

Private, three hour tour of the Vatican: Experience the greatest concentration of masterpieces in the world, including the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica of St. Peter’s.

Day 4: Rome to Florence

Enjoy a scenic train ride to Florence today and be transported to the birthplace of the Renaissance.

Day 5: Florence

Private, three hour walking tour of Florence: The only way to see this compact and historic city. After the tour, visit the Accademia Gallery where you have reserved tickets to see Michelangelo’s David.

Day 6: Tuscany

Choose among a variety of ways to discover Tuscany on these group or private tours:

Embark on a Chianti Wine Tour. Visit vineyards and wineries, and soak in the country side over a glass of the local wine and a lunch of traditional Tuscan specialties.

Take a leisurely drive in the countryside for a Tuscany Towns Tour – visiting the medieval cities of Siena and San Gimignano.

If the culinary arts interests you, a Cooking Class will take you from the market to purchase ingredients, through the kitchen and to the table to enjoy your creations.

Day 7: Florence

For your final day in Florence, explore at your leisure. Also consider a tour of the Ufizzi Gallery, home to the Renaissance art of Giotto and Cimabue, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, and Michelangelo.

Day 8: Florence to Venice

Take another scenic train to Venice then spend the remainder of the day exploring this romantic city. Cross the famed Rialto bridge and explore St. Mark’s square.

Day 9: Venice

Enjoy a private, three hour tour of Venice and discover the many stories that bring the city alive. Later perhaps take a short boat ride to the islands of Murano or Lido.

Day 10: Departure

With your Italian holiday over, you will be picked up for a private transfer to the Venice Airport for your return flight to the USA.
