Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Argentina

Arrive in Buenos Aires where you will be met and taken by private car to your hotel in the center of the city; Recoleta is a charming residential area with beautiful architecture and a wealth of shops and restaurants. Settle into your hotel and enjoy an evening stroll around this historical neighborhood.

 

Day 2 – Buenos Aires City Tour

Embark on a private, half-day tour of Buenos Aires, hitting on all the highlights and helping you get your bearings in Argentina’s electrifying capital city. Visit the famous Teatro Colón Opera House and the presidential Casa Rosada on the Plaza de Mayo, brush up on the city’s Italian heritage in the La Boca and San Telmo neighborhoods, and tour the revitalized Puerto Madero waterfront. Walk through the Recoleta Cemetery, where historic figures like Eva Peron are entombed, and end the tour in the trendy Palermo neighborhood.

 

Day 3 – Hidden History Tour

Go beyond the city’s highlights into the hidden grandeur and history of Buenos Aires’ less visited neighborhoods. Beautiful architecture, working-class history, street art, and remarkable churches are the mainstays of this tour through Barracas, Nueva Pompeya, Parque Patricios, and Boedo. In the evening, enjoy a gourmet dinner and a Tango performance in an intimate setting.

 

Day 4 – Buenos Aires to Patagonia

Transfer to the Buenos Aires airport for your flight to the southern tip of Argentina, Ushuaia, and settle into your hotel on the shores of the Beagle Channel. Start exploring the region on a half-day tour of Tierra del Fuego National Park—hike through native forests with panoramic views over the channel, and visit Lake Acigami, Lake Ensenada, and Lapataia Bay at the very the end of National Route 3.

 

Day 5 – Ushuaia Off-Road

Embark on a full-day Lakes Off-Road excursion that will take you to unique areas accessible only by 4WD vehicles. Drive through forested tracks, across rivers, and enjoy spectacular views over the Carbajal and Tierra Mayor valleys on the way to Garibaldi Pass. Stop at Lake Fagnano for a short walk along the lakeshore to the mountain refuge for a traditional Argentine barbecue lunch, and then continue your journey to Lake Escondido before returning to Ushuaia.

 

Day 6 – Ushuaia to El Calafate

Transfer to Ushuaia’s airport for your flight to El Calafate, where you will be driven to your lodge situated along the route to Los Glaciares National Park. The Eolo Lodge a Relais & Chateaux property sits on 10,000 acres and is a paradise for mountain biking, horseback riding, and trekking. Away from the main tourist center, the Eolo Lodge offers serene elegance in an incredible natural setting.

 

Day 7 – Perito Moreno Glacier

Take off on a full-day excursion in Los Glaciares National Park exploring the majesty of the Perito Moreno Glacier and the powdery blue waters of Lago Argentino. Arriving in the park you will take a short boat ride across the lake where your guides will take you on a hike to reach the glacier. Put on crampons and safety gear, and head onto the ice for an unforgettable minitrekking experience.

 

Day 8 – Enjoy Eolo Lodge

Today is yours to enjoy activities at the Eolo Lodge such as trekking, bird watching, or on a 4WD tour. Mountain bike through the La Anita Valley, hike up to the Cerro Frias viewpoints, or walk to the Flamingos Lagoon. After a full day of exploration, take a soothing sauna and a dip in the pool.

 

Day 9 – El Calafate to Lake District

Transfer to the airport in El Calafate for your flight north to Bariloche in the Lake District, where you will be met and driven to the luxurious 5-star Llao Llao Hotel on the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake. The hotel boasts its own 18-hole golf course, indoor and outdoor infinity pools, private beach, and spa and wellness center. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing at the property, or take advantage of some of the outdoor activities offered by the hotel.

 

Day 10 – Mountain Trekking

Embark on a private, full-day trekking excursion along El Tambo trail up the slopes of Bella Vista Mountain—about a 6-hour round-trip hike. Climb through native lenga forest to a series of scenic viewpoints before hiking above tree line, where you will have panoramic views. Arrive at a lookout below the summit, relax, and enjoy lunch with incredible views. There are numerous options in the area for trekking, and your guide will match you with the level of challenge you are looking for.

 

Day 11 – 7 Lakes: 7 Flavor

Enjoy a relaxing, full-day 7 Lakes: 7 Flavors excursion to Villa La Angostura with a private guide. Travel through the incredible landscape of the Lake District, along the shores of pristine lakes, pairing scenic views with regional food specialties. Stop for a glamorous picnic and savor the flavors of Patagonian cheese, smoked game, chocolates, craft beers and wines, and seasonal produce. Return to Bariloche in the late afternoon, or stay in Villa La Angostura at Las Balsas Hotel, another Relais & Chateaux property of Argentina, surrounded by 50 acres of native forest.

 

Day 12 – Fly to Buenos Aires & Travel to Las Pampas

Spend a relaxing morning on the hotel property and then transfer to Bariloche’s airport for your flight to Buenos Aires, where you will be met and driven to the estancia La Bamba de Areco, about 2 hours away. As one of the oldest estancias in Argentina, this hotel offers a unique experience blending history and tradition with boutique comfort.

 

Day 13 – Enjoy the Pampas!

Today is yours to enjoy the activities of La Bamba—excursions on horseback, carriage rides, mountain biking, or get a hot stone massage and relax poolside. Take a trip along the narrow colonial lanes of nearby of San Antonio de Areco, visit the Ricardo Guiraldes Gaucho Museum, and watch silversmiths and leather artisans in their workshops.

 

Day 14 – Farewell Argentina

Leave the estancia and travel back to Buenos Aires for your international flight home.
