Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive and Overnight Nairobi

Arrive in Nairobi where you will be met and transferred to the exclusive boutique Giraffe Manor in an indigenous forest in the Langata suburb of the city. The hotel is famous for its herd of Rothschild giraffe who visit in the morning and evening. If your arrival time allows for it, pay a quick visit to nearby Nairobi National Park or stop into the elephant orphanage operated by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Day 2 – Tsavo West National Park

Have breakfast at your hotel and then transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Tsavo West National Park in Kenya’s Coast Province. Arriving at Finch Hatton’s airstrip, enjoy a game drive en route to the luxury tented camp. After lunch, head back out on the reserve, which includes underwater viewing hides to observe hippos at Mzima Springs.

Day 3 – Tsavo West National Park

Spend a second day exploring Tsavo West National Park on morning and afternoon game drives, as well as guided walking safaris. Enjoy the tranquil setting of Finch Hatton’s eco-luxury camp, which has a spa, two infinity pools, and a yoga pavilion.

Day 4 – Masai Mara Reserve

Enjoy breakfast at camp and then transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi and connecting flight to Angama and the incredible Masai Mara National Reserve. A camp driver will meet you at the airport to bring you to the Angama Mara tented camp in time for lunch. Go for an afternoon game drive before relaxing back at the safari lodge.

Days 5-6 – Masai Mara Excursions

Explore this spectacular reserve on morning and afternoon game drives, as well as on walking safaris and cultural visits to neighboring Maasai villages. The reserve’s permanent water supply means that Masai Mara has an abundance of wildlife, including the big five—elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and rhino. Add a balloon excursion to get a panoramic bird’s-eye view over the plains.

Day 7 – Fly to Grumeti Game Reserve in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Migori, where you will be met and driven across the Kenya/Tanzania border. Continue to Tarime Airstrip for your flight to the Grumeti Game Reserve in the Serengeti, where your camp guide will meet you and bring you to the Singita Faru Faru Lodge. Enjoy a game drive on your way to camp, arriving at the lodge around sunset to settle in for the night.

Days 8-9 – Explore Grumeti Game Reserve

Get an early start to your days on the reserve and enjoy two full days of exploration of the Grumeti Game Reserve and Serengeti National Park, an ecosystem that is home to literally millions of animals. Hop on a canoe trip, fishing expedition, or hot air balloon ride to see a different side of the plains. In addition to incredible wildlife watching right from camp, the lodge offers delicious meals and starlight dining, as well as a spa.

Day 10 – Travel to Ngorongoro Crater

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Manyara airstrip near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll be picked up for a drive through the highlands to the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge near the rim of the crater. Arrive in time for lunch and then enjoy the remainder of the day to relax, perched above the world’s largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera, which is brimming with wildlife.

Day 11 – Explore Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will descend over 2000 feet to the floor of the caldera for a full-day crater tour. Explore this unique landscape which has forest areas inhabited by elephants and monkeys, the lake area where herd animals come for water, and the open savannah where predators prowl for their next meal. Return to the lodge and enjoy your dinner with views out over the crater floor.

Day 12 – Departure

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and then return to Manyara airstrip for your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport and then onward to Nairobi. In Nairobi you will be met and transferred to the international airport for your flight home.
